Day 6 - Hump Day?

Thanks to Angela I was up extra early this morning. To be exact, the clock on the cable box read 5:36 am. She wasn't trying to get me up, she was in her toybox trying to find something to chew on and her name tag was rattling around. I let her sleep outside the crate last night as a quasi experiment. She didn't have any accidents in the house, which was a good thing. I think she might be finally getting it that the acceptable place for potty is outside. Tonight I will have her back in the crate, but she is definitely making progress.

After this morning's paperwork hustle, I made a delivery to a client and then hit the George Bush Nature Preserve. I realized when I got there that I had left my 4-stop ND filter at home. So much for getting the shots I was hoping for today. Overcast days make it a little easier for exposure since the light is evenly spread due to the clouds, but there was still too much to achieve what I wanted. I stayed for a little bit and took a couple of pics, but nothing special came out of them. I'll probably revisit them in 6 months to see if my vision has changed at all, but right now they will sit as bits and bytes on the hard drive.

The rest of the day was ho-hum as far as everything else goes. The dogs got to play outside for a while. I spent most of the evening catching up on paperwork in order to minimize tomorrow's workload. I'm going to start 2-a-days at the gym tomorrow - weights in the morning and cardio in the evening. I want to be in better shape by the end of February. I know I won't be an Adonis by any means, but for the reason I want to be in better shape it's very important to me. The week off at the end of this month is going to make it a little more difficult, but I just need to stick with it as soon as I get back to Houston.

At this point I must bid you all a good night.

Exodus - but which way are they going?
